Editor's review
Abdio PDF Editor is a professional software for editing PDF. You can create new and edit PDF file just like operating Microsoft Office Word.
Pros: The way this works is one can create a completely new file, do any kind of editing that is necessary if it is saved in the Abdio project file format (MPD). It is the after the final edit that one can save it as PDF with the security settings if necessary. While creating a document one could type the necessary text directly in the work area. You can import Office Word( DOC), RTF, TXT, HTML, XML. Many Word like edit features are available that include add text, add headers or footers, insert table, insert Image, do file search and replace, bookmark a page and browse. Image files supported are MMP, TIF, WMF, PNG, JPG and GIF. It also can be used for editing table, plug-in image and making hyperlink. OLE objects can be included as in WORD documents. Hyperlinking within the page/document or outside is done easily. Settings required are acquired by the program through pop-up screens. A set of basic symbols make data entry easier. These include basic math, some Greek letters, few other symbols like copyright, trademark etc. and a few currency symbols.
Cons: Color scheme, lettering style makes it difficult to read in some screens. Obvious typos on the main interaction interface exist. One cannot open a PDF file into the application, only .mpd files created by the application. What that means that all the edit claimed to be made on PDF files are to be done in this intermediate format and then converted into PDF when finally saving it. In that sense this is not a PDF editor though it does create PDF file which could be created after all kinds of editing on the intermediate content.
Overall it is really and editor for creating a PDF rather than a PDF editor. Good functionality to that extent. Rated good at 2 star level.
Pure waste of time.
Can you believe it
